Our little Stinker!

Being a boy

So in the last few weeks we have had a couple of the, " oh, my goodness where is Cooper?" moments. The first happened after dinner one day. Cooper was being quite crazy and so I told him he needed to go upestairs with the girls and get ready for bed. So I thought he did. After about 10 minutes of me cleaning up after the dinner mess I noticed things were a little too quiet. The girls were all playing Barbies but, where was Cooper. First, I looked all around the house. Then again. Now I started getting a little nervous. I had the girls stop what they were doing and help me to start looking for him. I noticed the front door was unlocked. My heart dropped, I was yelling like I have never yelled before just hoping wherever he was he would hear me and come back or come out of where he was hiding. I called Ryan in a panic , I didn't know what to do. The girls by now where all crying because we thought we had lost Cooper. I started calling neighbors. I had someone coming over to the house even. I ran around the house looking in every nook and cranny. Yep!!!! there he was asleep at the bottom of our closet under shoes and clothes. He buried himself. It was such a relief but I have never been so scared in my life. What a little stinker.
Then about four days later when Ryan and I headed for bed we checked on the kids and where was Cooper? Not in his bed. This time I knew he was in the house. We ended up finding him underneath the girls bunk beds. I love him so much but at times I think he is going to give me a heart attack from worrying about him! He definitely makes up for being the only brother in the house.

Crazy Life!!

So it has been awhile since our last post. I am sure everyone knows how the snowball effect works. It seems like that has been our life lately. I will hopefully be able to get on and update everyone on life ( let's just hope this silly computer will stay working so I can.)

So it has already started!!!

Yep, so it has already started, my kids are too cool for me. This was the girls first week of school. Of course Ryan and I were there to bring the girls to their classes on the first day. Then as the week went on, I started to be NOT SO COOL. We live just down the block from the back entrance of the school , so the girls are able to walk to and from. I want to walk with them everyday , but Maizie has had a hard time with it. She has told me, " Mom, we are fine I am old enough to take care of everyone." ( I wish ) Even times when I did meet them at the back gate I would get asked why I was there , so I tried to play it off like I just came to show Rylie the playground up close. They didn't fall for it. I am so grateful for all the older kids and my friend, Lauren who lives around the corner. They help me to keep an eye on the girls. I do have them take walkie-talkies to school so that I can keep in contact with the kids at all times on their walk to and from. I love my girls so much and maybe I will be a big embrassment, but they will always know I love them. All and all this week has been great, the girls are loving school. Both girls like their teachers a lot. It is something I am truely grateful for, I was really worried about school this year for them. I figure everything turns out just fine, I just need to have patience. ( I'm working on it)

First Day of School

First Day of School

Today was the first day of school for both Maizie and Madilyn. Maizie is know a first grader and Madilyn is a kindergartner. Wow!! Time goes way to fast. Sitting here at home it really feels empty, even though I still have three kids at home. I am so proud of both Maizie and Madie. they are truly such wonderful little girls.

Maizie-
Now you are a big first grader. I remember when you were still so little. I am so excited to watch you grow and learn. You truly amaze me everyday with new things. I will miss you while you are at school but everyday I will look forward to seeing you and everything you bring home.

Madilyn-
You are my little Madie. I really tried not to cry today when you headed off into your big classroom. I know how excited you are and I am just as excited for you. You are going to do so well and are so sweet to those around you. I look forward to hearing and seeing all that you will do.

My two big girls Mom and Dad love you sooo, sooooo, much , but please don't grow up to fast.

Dave and Buster's

On Saturday night Ryan and I were able to go out on a date. We had a great time. We went with our friends the Jones's ( such a fun couple). Seriously I felt like a kid at Chuck e cheese. See we went to a place called Dave and Buster's , which is pretty much like a grown ups play place. We even got a big ball for the kids to play with from the tickets we earned. ( well mostly the tickets that Ryan and Laurie won) We went out to dinner earlier at Red Robin, which is a restaurant I have not been to for a while. I absolutely love there burgers, well i guess mine was chicken but it was so good. Getting the opportunity to go out on a date is so nice. But when we were able to go out with our friends I think it just made it way more fun. Thanks Ryan and Laurie you two are definitely a blast to hangout with. P.S. No the lady in the back of the picture was not with us. She looks like fun to hang out with though!

Twilight?

So most people know about the new book by , Stephanie Meyer. Well lets just say I had no clue. Renee called me last friday and asked me if I wanted to go and get this new book at midnight. I said yes, mostly because I just wanted to get out of the house. I had such a blast with those girls. Rachel and Renee, thanks for letting me tag-a-long it was so much fun. I did end up buying the book for my sister in law. Being there that night I felt like such a dork. See I haven't read the first three, which I will be starting tonight. Can't wait to see what it is that everyone talks about. Yes, I know I look like I am falling asleep.

Wedding

Part 3

So we made it back on up to Portland. We had a birthday party for Madilyn with the family, which was so much fun for her. We then had the wedding on Friday. It was my first temple wedding to attend so that was really nice. The kids stayed with their cousins and had such a good time. The reception was on Saturday and the kids came all decked out. They really looked so cute. I wish I had more pictures, but you have to understand I have pretty bad luck. On the second week of our trip our camera broke. Oh well, right? The kids had such a fun time drinking sparkling cider out of wine glasses. They all felt pretty grown-up. But glass and little kids doesn't always mix. Cooper broke a glass but, no injuries, that was good. After the reception we headed for home! Yeah!!! I wasn't looking forward to the drive ahead but knowing I was going home to my bed made it better. We stopped into Boise on our way back, thanks to Tami and Mark we had a place to crash. Then on the road again,we actually went through Vegas on the way home. It was both Ryan and my first time to drive through Vegas. We drove down the strip the kids kept yelling to show us the Christmas lights. Funny story though. Driving down the strip took us about 45 minutes. Well, Cooper had to go potty twice. So what do you do, I grabbed a water bottle and he went to town. He actually almost overflowed a 20 oz. bottle. But, then Lillie started going nuts because she thought that there was juice in the bottle. Gross, I know, but it sure was funny. Finally we got home and let's just say there is no place like home.
