Madie's Pool Party

On Saturday Madie had a little pool party. Yes, it was hot, but that is why we had it early in the morning. The kids all had fun and it is so amazing that all the kids could swim. I wish I could do a pool party for all the kids birthdays, they are fun and easy!!!

Last week our little Madilyn turned 6! Holy Cow! It was such a nice day and she is such a sweet little girl. Her day started off by waking up and getting a fun surprise. Since Madilyn loves to shop Ryan thought it would be fun if we made a little store in the house and let her pick out what she wanted. So the night before her birthday Ryan and I put together the "Birthday Boutique". When Madie came out of her room that morning she didn't notice anything except the present on the counter. She opened the present and inside was of course a super cute purse, gum and money!! ( fake money) We let her know that she was going to go and pick out what she wanted for her birthday. When she went into the boutique she was greeted by the Store Manager (Lillie) , the Cashier ( Maizie), Security ( Cooper) and then there was a little shoplifter (Rylie) the kids all had a sign hanging around there neck. Madie ended up picking out a pool float, a swimsuit, hand sanitizer, Band-Aids, giftcard, shoes, 2 dresses, mp3 player, webkinz, and some nail polish. It was such a fun morning the kids all loved being a part of it. And since I went into labor while at a shopping mall, when Madie was born, it pretty much fit perfect.
The rest of the day we went and watched a movie did some more shopping with some of here giftcards, went swimming had dinner at Chuck E. Cheese and ended it by stopping by Krispy Kreme and grabbing her free dozen donuts on the way home. A super busy day but, she had a great sixth birthday

Happy 4th of July!

We had a great 4th of July together as a family and are now trying to get the little ones back on their sleep schedule.  We had lunch at the kid's new favorite place, Jason's Deli, then did a little clothes shopping for Preslie, before heading home and swimming for a while.  After swimming and dinner, we headed to the fireworks show in Chandler.  We found the perfect spot, laid out our blanket, and munched on some fry bread and cookies before the big show.  The fireworks ended up being really close and Lillie and Rylie were a little afraid at first from the boom of the fireworks.  By the end, Lillie was in love with the "popcorn" fireworks and Rylie was saying "wow!" after every one.  The kids didn't get to bed until about 11, but overall it was a wonderful day.  We are so grateful to live in a free country, and for those men and women that serve our country and protect our freedom.

One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish

The kids just finished their swim lessons and we had a great time.  Maizie advanced to level 4 and is quite the little fish, Madilyn finished up as a sea lion, Cooper as an otter, Lillie as a tadpole, and Rylie in parent-tot.  Lillie screamed a bit at first, but then got comfortable and would be beaming with excitement after each class letting us know what new thing she learned that day.  Rylie thinks she can swim on her own and pushes away during class, which isn't surprising since she goes down the slide at her Grandma and Grandpa's house by herself.  Cooper learned to go down under water and grab things, while Madilyn started swimming without help and loves the backstroke.  Maizie just loves to be in the water and likes to take on whatever new challenge is next.  They were all so excited to jump off the diving board the last day, and they have all been practicing the things they learned in the pool since.  (Since we have no pics from swim lessons because I was with Rylie in the pool, here are some recent pics from swimming at home).
