Part 2
So once we left Washington we headed for Portland to stay with my sister-in-law Megan for a couple of days. My kids got to hangout with their cousins and loved it. I do have to say after moving to Arizona , Oregon did seem to be really cold. But, for a few days the kids just played and had a good time. We then went down to Salem where we had lived for quite a while during the time Ryan was in school. So it was nice to see all our friends. We stayed with our friends the Primus's and loved it. It is so nice to be around good friends. They have three boys , so as you can imagine Cooper was in boy heaven , doing all the fun stuff he never does at home.( He's our lonely boy) The girls enjoyed it also, you see they have already planned out which boy they want to marry. My friend Elena has two girls , our kids used to play all the time so it was fun to get together. Cooper and her little girl just love each other. We also had a birthday party for Madilyn on her birthday at a fun park. My friend Elena did pretty much everything for it, so a huge Thanks to her. We had a great turnout, and we were able to see people we hadn't seen in quite I while. I always love to just hangout and enjoy time with friends. After the birthday party we headed back up for Ryan's brother's wedding. That will be part 3.

(part 1 1/2)
While up in Washington my family did a little birthday party for Madilyn. The big 5!! My sister made a great Hannah Montana guitar birthday cake. It was awsome ( Madie loves Hannah Montana, and guitars) She got to open presents eat cake and have a spankin line. It was great. Thanks for making Madie feel so special. She is the type to be shy, but then can't stop talking about it once it is over! Thank you!

Our trip ( Part 1)
Our big excursion started on the 3rd we headed on up to Washington to visit with my family. We left our house around 4:30 pm and made it to Washington around 7 pm on the 4th. Let's just say the drive was non- stop and no fun. Lillie and Rylie slept for approximately 20 minutes.Definitely a really bad idea to drive through the night. And yes, I have to admit it was all my idea. ( Sorry Ryan) So our plans for fireworks were kind of squashed. Oh well, we will just have a blast next fourth. Ryan had to fly back home to work so I stayed with the kids for a few days. Thanks to my Mom and Greg for letting us stay with them. It was fun for the kids to hang out with there cousins. Everyone for the most part just hung out, they all got to play with some one week old puppies. And of course someone had to get hurt, Lillie hit her head pretty hard at the pool, ( before we even got in, it was in the girls locker room) so I headed to the ER with her. Good thing no stitches just a really big egg on her head. So I guess you could say that was a highlight. Then we headed back into the car and we headed for Portland. This time at least it was only about 5 hours. But we stopped to visit Tad and Tayna half way through so that was great.

Home Sweet Home!!!
So all I can say is I Love being home!!!! I really never thought I would say that, but after driving hours upon hours in a van with five kids I love home! I really missed Arizona while we were gone. I was freezing everywhere we went. So I guess it is good for us to live out here in the warm weather.
