Lillie's 3rd birthday!

So it has been awhile! But Lillie's 3rd birthday was a big hit. She started off early with a HUGE smile! She loved opening her presents, this day was all about Lillie. Cooper had an early game so we went and watched. Lillie wore her new clothes so everyone knew it was her birthday. We had asked her what she wanted to do that day, all she wanted to do was go to Bounce u and Chik-fil-a. We headed to Bounce U and bounced like crazy , came home had a short rest then headed to dinner at the gourmet restaurant Chik-fil-a. ( Really I do love it) WE played some more and had her birthday cupcakes outside, what a fun day! We love our Lillie so much she is such a spunky fun little girl!!!

Rough Start
Preslie Jolene Grace Scott
It has been 7 weeks now and she is growing like a weed. She has taught me quite a lot in those few weeks. She is such a blessing to our family.

What a rough start this little one has had., When she was born the cord was around her head. Once she was out my doctor was surprised to see such a tight knot in her cord. We are so grateful that she did not have any problems from that. Life is not always fair though. When Preslie was born she was born with a condition called Congenital Radial Ulnar synostosis (yep a BIG word) affecting her left arm. In other words, her hand is positioned 90 degrees backwards. When we went into the orthopedic surgeon soon after her birth, we also found out that her right arm was broken. So for the past 6 weeks Preslie has had to have her arm pinned up against her little body. But we received great news last week that her broken arm was healing. I wish I could say we have great news about her other arm. Because the condition is rare there have not been any cures for it. We do know that as she gets older she will be able to have surgery to have her hand repositioned to face forward. Preslie is such a sweet little one and I know that this will not affect her way of life. These last two months I have thought a lot about what her life may be like. Of course as a mom all I think about are the bad things she may have to deal with and how badly I wish I could take this on myself. There is always the question "WHY?" But I have come to understand that this question may never be answered and we just have to make the best of any situtation given to us. Preslie is perfect and will always be that way. She is not a big fan of sleeping but I am sure we will work through that trial too.
The story of her name.
Preslie- A name that both Ryan and I have loved. (nothing to do with Elvis)
Jolene- Our (Ryan's Grandma but I love her just as much) Grandma Chugg's first name is Jolene. we love the name and are so happy to have Preslie named after someone who is so special..
Grace- It is such a beautiful name. It means "blessing" and we are so fortunate to have her in our lives. We also wanted something a little different for our LAST little one.
Scott- Well it is just the best last name EVER!!!!.

Orange Crush

Cooper had his first soccer game last weekend and absolutely loves it. He was smiling the whole time and it has been a blast to watch. We are working with him on teaching him which goal is his but he is sure good at kicking the ball. Once he gets it he doesn't really share it. ( Ball Hog) Every time he makes a goal or even gets the ball he turns to us and gives us a thumbs up. We are so happy we found something to get out all his energy, and he loves it at the same time!
