Coop's buddy!

Cooper has met such a fun friend. It has been so good for him to have someone his age and someone who is a boy to play with. The two of them are so funny. When they see each other they get pretty excited. When Cooper had some dental work done , even though he was really out of it all he would say to me is that he wanted to go to Gavins house. We did and Gavin was so sweet , and worried about Cooper. Of course they fight like all boys do, but it is over pretty quickly. Last week we had a "train party" over at the Gavin's house. It was a really fun time. I thought there were tons of trains , but it is funny to see that the boys ( and my girls) could always have used a couple more trains to play with. I am so grateful for the friends my children make , so far in life they have some pretty great friends, and as parents we couldn't be happier. I hope they keep it up through the years!

Week in Review

So this week has been a busy , but fun week. A friend of mine has been out of town. She watches some kids , so for the time that she is out of town I am doing it. Yes, at first to be honest I was a little nervous, 10 kids in one house worried me a little. But, it has been great. My kids have loved it. And little Lillie has made a new friend, I think they follow each other everywhere. Yes, Lillie is probably a little bossy but is just wanting to show her friend everything, and every toy she has. The older girls have had fun dressing up with their Jacy. She is a good combo between my girls, so it has been nice to have some extra friends around the house. Don't get me wrong 10 kids is a handful but, they are all good kids, and half of them are mine. I truly love my kids , so so much and love to watch every stage in their life. It has been fun to see how they interact with friends.

Maizie's 1st Dive!

Maizie's 1st Dive!!

Today was a really great day! I brought the kids to the pool that is near our house. We always have a blast, it just opened recently and has some really great kids play things. Anyways, before we left today Maizie asked me if she could go off the diving board. Of course I said yes, I was so excited that she wanted to do it. Well , she did a great job a little nervous to get up there and I thought she might come down when she looked off the end of it. Nope she jumped off and swam to the side. I was so proud of her, and then of course she kept wanting to go over and over again! Maizie was going to be in a diving class with her friend this summer, but since we might be going to Oregon I didn't want her to have to miss too much. But, I think now I am definitely going to have to get her in sometime. She is such a wonderful little girl, always surprising me.

Summertime!

Summer is Here!!!

Well, the heat of the summer has finally arrived. Yes , it is hot but really not so bad. Our days are mostly spent either playing in the sprinklers or going to a pool . We have a community pool, their Grandma and Grandpas pool and the pool were we took swim lessons. So we definitely have our options. Since the kids are always outside they are getting quite the tan. I am sunscreen crazy, so no burns yet!!! I hope everyone is enjoying the summer and having loads of fun. If your not just head on over to our place and come party with us. Have a safe summer and remember , DON"T FORGET THE SUNSCREEN!

We love the Zoo!

Last week there was a members night at the zoo. It was a kick off for their summer fun nights. In the evening during the summer they have a lot of fun activities at the zoo. We went along with some friends of ours and we had a blast. You see you have to now how much my kids love to go to the zoo, literally they would go everyday. Cooper and Maizie went on a camel ride ( Coop loves his camel named Josh and he got to ride him that night). There are also a bunch of water slides set up, so the kids love that. All and all it was a fun evening out. So thanks Mom we definitely get a lot of use out of our pass, and we think of you everytime. Thanks!!!!

Memorial Day 2008

Memorial Day!

A lot happened on that Monday! I came back from my nice little vacation , and was so excited to see everyone. We had been invited over to your friend the Johnson's for a BBQ and just some water fun. The kids had a blast, I should say we all did. Thanks, guys! Also before we left Ryan got Madilyn's first tooth out. She loved it even though you can't tell in the picture. Also Cooper got to play this video game called Guitar Hero, he loves the guitar and it was really nice of Rich to help him. I have really realized that even though most of our family lives so far away when you meet good friends they become a part of the family, too.

Catching up!!

Seen the camera has been brought I have not blogged for a while. So, now I am trying to play catch up so you will most likely see a lot of new posting. Don't worry you don't need to read them all I just need to keep up with journaling some of the fun times in life.

While I was Gone!

So you would think maybe with mom gone things might not be so fun. Well that was definitely not the case. Ryan spent 3 days and nights with the kids, alone. The kids had such a fun time with dad. They got to go get donuts, go swimming, go to the zoo, he even managed all five at church. I can't really say I am surprised, from the moment we had Maizie, Ryan has always been the best dad. He is such a wonderful example of what a Dad is, I love him so much and am so grateful for him in our lives. The kids love their Dad and were so excited to have that time with him. So thank you Ryan!!!
P.S. he even taught Lillie this silly bitter face when I was gone. instead of "the look" we call it "the Face"

The New Face

Tons of Fun!!!

Memorial Day Weekend I had a little getaway. I went with about 11 other girls to a cabin in California. It was a scrapbook weekend. I had a blast. It was so fun to just relax , talk , sleep in, stay up late, eat junk food, talk some more, and oh yeah there was some scrap booking. More by others then myself but I was just loving life. I rode up with two awesome ladies, Renee and Rachel. I think the car rides were definitetly a highlight to the weekend. Thank you so much Marlane for putting this weekend together. It was really a nice time, hopefully we can do it again and have even more people!!

Last Day of School!!

May 21st was Maizie's last day of school. It was also the day that we had to bring the van in to get fixed (regular check up and new brakes((all four)). So I figured , hey it is only one day without a car, we should be fine. I thought it would be good exercise to walk Z to school. Well I loaded up the kids, but I had forgotten I had the double stroller in the van still. So I strapped on the Baby Bjorn, put Rylie in and got the single stroller to push Lillie. That left Cooper riding his bike, Madie riding a scooter, and Maizie on a scooter ( her bike had been stolen from school, that's a whole other story). So there we were headed off to school. The school is actually right down the block , but because Maizie is in half day kindergarten she can't go in the back gate. Which then leaves us to have to walk all throughout the neighborhood and then another little while to get out in to the front of the school. Well, of course it had to be the one day that it was overcast with a chance of rain. I say chance because most of the time it never happens, we live in Arizona. Well, with my luck you can probably guess what happened. We actually made it to the school OK. As we were headed home we started to see lightening and hear the thunder. That freaked both Cooper and Madilyn out pretty bad. But, I just had to keep saying, "let's hurry so we can beat the rain". We were probably about 7 minutes away from the house when we started get pelted, no not with just rain, but hale. My poor baby Rylie looked like she had a slushy on her head. The kids and I started running, I am so grateful we were close to a playground Ramada. We stopped for shelter, Madie at this point was crying and Cooper just wanted to play in all the puddles. Lillie was just fine, you see she had food. We waited about 10 minutes and of course, in Arizona that is about how long a long storm might last. Finally, though wet, not so cold, we headed for home. We made it safe and sound and really that is all that matters. It was a fun little adventure, I guess I could have been upset, but I just laughed it off and thought it is just another one of my fun memories with the kids. I took some pics when we were under the Ramada, I used my phone so hopefully you can see them.
